It is terribly discouraging to hear our mayor making sure aloud from the Dias that the complex of 44 units is way far from any SFH — while many from the public kept reiterating it will be part of our community. To that end, I heard numerous times about these 44 micro units affording working teachers to raise their families, improve their quality of life and connect w our larger PA neighborhoods and campus’... huh? What are the amenities offered, efficiencies in units. Hardly family sized. Will there be enough room for both a living area and dining to entertain? WD in unit?? Teachers are extraordinarily consumed w thier teacher lives — thier down time is precious and deserves a space enough to do so. Tiny units like these surely have to offer a quality in build that makes it a home and not just a cave with fresh air from yonder who doth speaks, anon ! A Juliette Balcony where not space to squeeze a tomato plant in or to sun dry clothing! Deciding on plans for homes for workers out of desperation is not a plan but an emergency. Make it 22 units with larger area floor ratio and zero parking amenity.

So excited to see this project! I hope it proceeds quickly - and I hope the city examines the ways it can improve its regulatory process to make it easier for projects like this! Barron Park and Ventura neighborhoods would be proud to claim PAUSD teachers as neighbors. Thank you to the developer and his partners for working to realize this vision.

Does this mean that all teachers and their spouses will use EBikes to get to school? Or perhaps ZipCars? Will zip cars be at the school campuses also?
