Original post made on Sep 29, 2023

Dog owners in south Palo Alto have plenty of reasons to get excited as they watch the city add new fenced play areas for their furry companions. But things are different in the north, where supply hasn't kept up with demand.

Rinconada Park would be terrific with a dog park.

Look at the Peers dog park shown here - such unsightly infrastructure is completely inappropriate for Bol Park.

Juana Briones may be the best site if eventually Barron Park dog owners get a dog park.

However, given that nearby Boulware dog park opens next year and is so close, to also build one in Barron Park seems needlessly redundant and a waste of money.

I hope the city does not build a dog park at Rinconada Park.
I read on NextDoor about mess, fighting, misbehavior at dog parks. Where would people park? Or would they take their dogs on foot on the narrow sidewalks near there to Rinconada? I oppose this location. No way to get away from lunging dogs on these sidewalks! Keep them safe for us pedestrians.Hate to think of the barking.
