Somehow, I don't consider an article in the Palo Alto Weekly suggesting Ramen places in San Jose and San Mateo to be very useful (described at "local eateries", really???). It looks like the article was picked off a website (see byline) with some "additional reporting" (whatever that means).
Well, let's at least make it useful for locals by adding the following:
Dohatsuten Ramen & Tapas: 799 San Antonio Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94303. Excellent place that has been there for years and offers outdoor dining in these times of continued elevated Covid risk.
Ramen Kowa: 445 California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94306. Also quite good (my general preference is for Dohatsuten, but Ramen Kowa has outdoor tables on Calif. Ave, thus a more pleasant setting).

I agree with Cheese Guy about the lack of Palo Alto coverage. The same omission happened with the article on the best ice cream places where Rick's Rather Rich Ice Cream from Palo Alto was ignored. To cite just one more example of the lack of local coverage.

I am second the vote from Cheese Guy. Dohatsuten Ramen and Tapas on San Antonio is far superior to Ramen Nagi. Ramen Nagi has long lines because it's trendy. Dohatsuten is wonderfully delicious and unassuming. You order your ramen and it's one price; other places you pay extra for the add-ons. The broth is amazing. Be sure to try the other dishes too.
