This is fabulous public relations speak probably taken directly from a press release, "...reflects a new kind of work culture, one that focuses on big open spaces, light, energy and community." This from the company that, not so long ago, summarily dismissed thousands of employees without notice. These people learned they'd been laid off by trying their door passes when they got to work to find they'd been locked out. One of my many former Google-employee friends was traveling on Google business when all of his company access was locked down without notice. This was how he and many others learned that, after more than a decade of exemplary service to the company, they'd been laid off. Devastating, appalling, disrespectful treatment. This is the kind of "community" created by big tech and cyberspace. Community is created in the living world when good people of character (especially leaders) treat each other with civility, share information carefully and truthfully with mutual respect, courtesy and kindness and build structures that encourage and support that type of behavior. Community is not defined by a pretty building. Community is built on trust.

This sounds fantastic! How can I find out more about it and get directions to it?

@CYO, you hit the nail right on the head. Work culture is obviously just a rhetorical term to Google. It would be fun if all of those laid off could circle this new facility so visitors can see how Google defines community.
