Visiting the donkeys is a fun, free family bicycling adventure (though donations to support the donkeys' care are greatly appreciated). The recent grassroots Bike Palo Alto event showed hundreds of local families a quiet bike route to the the donkey corral along the paved and shady off-road Barron Park trail with bike bridges over Matadero Creek, and picnicking sites in the park.
