CA state law prohibits payment for any school activity (sports, field trips, performing arts, school related travel, transportation, uniforms, etc). Why is MA requiring payment of $1500/trimester for a school sport? The school may ask for a donation, but no one is to be excluded if they cannot pay. There should not need to be a scholarship fund to be on the MA swim team -- all athletes are able to participate regardless.
