Health officials are advising the public to get vaccinations as respiratory illnesses spread

As the holiday season gets into full swing, public health officials are advising the public to stay up-to-date on their vaccinations for COVID-19, flu and RSV and to stay home if unwell, among other recommendations.

Check with your physician before getting the RSV vaccine. I am nearly 79 and in good respiratory health. My doctor advised against it in my case, because there is not enough data yet on its effectiveness or possible side effects.

I was advised to get a pneumonia booster, and have done so, along with current Covid and flu vaccines.
