Delivery robots roaming the streets? Mountain View's trying them out

The bots are coming back, for the third time, to Mountain View's streets in an updated pilot program that would allow automated delivery devices on the city’s sidewalks, crosswalks and possibly its bike lanes.

These may be in Mountain View but Nuro delivery vehicles are moving on our streets Loma Verde/Colorado area of Palo Alto.

FYI, the Nuro cars driving around Midtown are not delivery vehicles. They are test vehicles.

Do these new robots have brake lights and turn signals? What do you do if you are a bicyclist and find one of these in the lane ahead of you? How do you know if it is going to stop or turn?

They can hog sidewalks and block pedestrians. What kind of insurance does Starship have as well as the city of Mountain View?
