Dog trainer is charged in disappearance of Palo Alto German shepherd, who is presumed dead

A dog trainer who allegedly attempted to substitute a Palo Alto resident's German shepherd with another dog after failing to return the pet to its owner will face charges, the Palo Alto Police Department has confirmed.

Condolences to Ms. Bruchilari. This unconscionable woman sounds like a Pet Owner's worst nightmare, and I'm glad that she is being held accountable.

I am glad Ragland will be prosecuted in California (eventually). It is unfortunate that the warrant was not issued a year ago, in time to prevent her subsequent murders of pets back east.

Why on earth do you describe this suspect as a “dog trainer”? I could suggest a few options. . . .
