Sign the Fix Prop 19 to Repeal the Death Tax Petition

Original post made by Anne Gray, South of Midtown, on Dec 19, 2023

I grew up in Palo Alto - in one of the Sterling Gardens 1950s tract houses with 1,004 square feet in Midtown. They now sell as teardowns for nearly $3 Million. My dad paid $26K for ours.

Now kids who inherit their homes and family businessses across California can't afford to keep them. Prop 19 is FUNDED by additional property taxes on our children when they inherit our homes and businesses.

Housing is just too expensive for most kids to ever return to Palo Alto unless it's when they inherit the family home. Prop 19 now makes it nearly impossible!

Please sign the Fix Prop 19 and Repeal the Death Tax petition to Reinstate our cherished Prop 58 Parent/Child Transfer rights. Deadline Jan 16 and we are far short the number needed to get this on the 2024 ballot!

The home you save may be your own! #FixProp19
