Seems to me that this tragic loss of life needs to be respected by treating the perpetrators with the harshest possible punishment. Also, either we raise the minimum age for a Drivers License to 18, or else educate younger applicants that they will be held to the adult consequences for any transgression that occurs when they are driving, when they apply for a license.

I'm tough on crime but holding him until he's 25 makes sense. This wasn't murder, and 30 years or more in adult prison you run the risk of him coming out as a hardened criminal and a life of crime.

Actually this WAS murder. A young couple was killed, leaving young twins, who by the grace of God were not also killed in the crash. He absolutely should be tried as an adult.

What I think should happen as a result of this is raising the driving age. Teens are not responsible enough to understand fully what can happen. Video games where someone dies and then starts walking around again doesn't help.

As a teen I did some pretty stupid things, but fortunately not behind the wheel. I did learn from my mistakes and hopefully can be called a respected and responsible adult human being. This was a horrific event and of course should be punished, but I do think that teens in particularly can become better adults than their teenselves may portray.

Driving is a privilege and not a rite of passage. The responsibility of driving should come with more maturity than 16 years of age. Raising the driving age makes sense to me.
