Thank you very much for this very helpful letter, including the candidates’ votes in the past. I now feel that I know these candidates better.

Reporting more on facts like voting records, and platforms, factual investigation of issues and much less on polling and politicized commentary is very much appreciated by me. More, please.
Adults, please remember that the failure of many adults to turn out and VOTE (because they wanted to make a statement or because they didn't like H. Clinton enough) is how D. Trump got elected last time. Please VOTE. I am a senior citizen. I can count on one hand the number of elections I didn't feel that I was voting for the lesser of two evils, but I voted anyway, because I know that outcomes of the tenure of a better candidate is better for the people. Candidates are people, so perfect is not possible. Not voting is NOT a statement. It is a failure to use your power to choose. By not voting, you give your power away to the voters who DO turn out. That is how Donald Trump was elected last time. It is how he might get elected this time. Apathy is not an option. Make a thoughtful CHOICE. VOTE. Democracy is not a spectator sport. Averting your eyes and disengaging on matters of governmental leadership is not responsible adult behavior in a democracy. Step up, and exercise your right to vote.
By the way, City Council and School Board elections are also coming up, and will elect majorities for both bodies this cycle. Pay attention to State, county and local elections too! Your vote matters.

Why is this list of questions couched through the lens of rightwing priorities? Where are the questions about Healthcare when we remain the only advanced nation without good, affordable care for everyone? Where are the questions about the climate crisis, in the context of the partisan divide in this country that keeps us from dealing with it? Seriously, does the planet really have time for another Republican majority in either House of Congress or the White House? This is a Democratic race--why don't any of the questions take liberal priorities into account?

Porter was once trying to end Trump's $10K cap on our SALT tax deductions aimed at penalizing "rich Blue" states like California with high state and local taxes. What's happening with that??
For those who've forgotten, "The state and local tax (SALT) deduction permits taxpayers who itemize when filing federal taxes to deduct certain taxes paid to state and local governments. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) capped it at $10,000 per year, consisting of property taxes plus state income or sales taxes, but not both."
