Enough already.
The enormous risk to us of living with far fewer and smaller trees far outweighs the risk of injury from trees. Read your science.
There is little concern acknowledged here for what the best science tells us - trees are essential for addressing
and humans surviving climate change.
Trees provide habitat for a whole food chain of biodiversity supporting a myriad of species.
Given the 6000 new housing units the state requires in Palo Alto over the next 8 years, and the approximately 15,000 new residents they will bring, protection of trees providing baseline livability will be vital. We must continue to robustly protect trees.
Whether driving our cars, riding a bike, climbing a ladder to pick backyard fruit or playing sports, we take some risks - it’s part of having a high quality life.
