Sheriff's office collects nearly 400 pounds of fireworks at Redwood City buyback event

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said it collected nearly 400 pounds of illegal fireworks during the county's first fireworks buy back event.

Hope this alleviates some of the noise. It was awful during the pandemic. I don't mind a flurry of noise just around dark on the 4th, but some persons were setting them off all night long at that time

Good effort, but the 6+ hours of relentless fireworks in EPA Tuesday night would indicate how few people turned theirs in. It was miserable, for my dog, for me, and I suspect especially for combat veterans.
